The 2.5-ring bit is a milder version of the 3-ring (Pessoa) bit, offering leverage that increases the lower the reins are attached. It’s great for strong horses that pull or lean on the bit. Compared to the 2.5-ring eggbutt, the loose rings allow more movement and softer rein aids. This mouthpiece is a bar with a medium port, giving the tongue extra room and shifting pressure to the bars—ideal for horses with sensitive tongues or those that stick their tongue out. Not recommended for inexperienced riders.
